As soon as I became old enough to schedule my own doctors appointments, I stopped going to the doctor. I only go now on the rare occasion that my mom insists I get some check up and schedules one for me.

But after this second wisdom tooth infection I need to get the ball rolling. This partially impacted sucker overstayed it’s welcome in my sweet sweet gums. So I scheduled a dentist appointment on my own!
I know that doesn’t sound like much but I probably would have put it off for weeks. Acknowledging how uncomfortable it was for me to do this small task helped me go through with it.
What I Learned
Not all discomforts are big. Some are just annoying. Getting small chores off our mental to do list clears our minds. Only with a clear mind can we fully attack what matters.
